Can software be beautiful?
I think a lot about Ansel Adams. Anton Corbijn. Tom Thomson. Artists who didn't treat beauty as an extra layer added at the end. They treated it as the point. That's also why Hewn exists — a reminder that the things we make should feel considered, human, and worth living with over time.
Software usually treats beauty as decoration. A gradient here, a clever animation there, a rebrand when the numbers flatten. But artists can feel the difference between surface polish and something made with actual care. In StudioOps, beauty is a product decision. Typography that respects long sessions.
